Statement
“Character is higher
than intellect.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Emerson is at the center of truth when he states this. Intellect
can take you very far and help you throughout life. However that intellect will
mean nothing without character. When you have good character people follow you
and will trust you over anyone else. Intellect is extremely important, but one
thing that does trump it is character. In
survivor situation people tent to choose someone with good character to run the
group over the person that is just smart.
