“The Three Don’ts”
Don’t whine
Don’t Complain
Don’t make excuses
--John Wooden
These three don’ts are something that every athlete has to
live by in order to play. What wooden is trying to say is that these three
actions only stunt your growth as a player and as a person. When you just
complain, whine, and make excuses you go nowhere and never improve. In my
lacrosse practice whenever we complain we do sprints as a team, if we make
excuses we run a mile. The importance of this is that all of the consequences to
the complaining and excuse making our coach gives us makes us never complain,
whine, or make excuses we just endure.
